One operating guide and walkthrough

A recurring task depends on one person’s memory or repeatedly causes confusion.

Budget guide: US$285–760. I will quote the agreed scope after checking fit. This range is an indication, not a fixed price or a ceiling.

Is this for you?

One recurring task lives in one person’s head. When they are away, it waits or goes wrong. You want it written down so anyone on your team can do it.

This is a good fit if

  • A task depends on one person’s memory
  • The same questions come up every time it is done
  • You want a guide your team will actually use
  • You want a recorded walkthrough to go with it

It is probably not the right fit if

  • You need a whole policy manual
  • The process itself is broken and needs redesign first
  • You want training for many different tools at once

What you walk away with

  • One task written as clear, tested steps
  • A recorded walkthrough
  • A review date so it stays current

Scope, timing and what is included

When this is useful

This is useful when people repeatedly struggle with the same task or depend on one person’s knowledge, and need a guide checked through a walkthrough. If an existing guide, short checklist or training session already solves the problem, a new document may be unnecessary.

What you receive

Write one operating guide or troubleshooting decision tree, provide a walkthrough of up to 30 minutes, and complete one consolidated revision.

An operator follows the agreed representative scenario successfully. Unverified steps remain explicitly open.

What I need to begin

An authoritative process or working system and an operator available to try the instructions.

Allow 2–5 business days after the required access and inputs are ready. I’ll confirm fit and the start date before payment.

Scope and expectations

A full knowledge-base rewrite, extensive interviews, localisation and video editing are separate scopes.

If the underlying workflow is broken or cannot be observed, I will identify that gap instead of documenting an assumed solution.
