Website migration
You want to move one healthy brochure website to compatible hosting while preserving its content and functions.
Budget guide: US$475–1,330. I will quote the agreed scope after checking fit. This range is an indication, not a fixed price or a ceiling.
Is this for you?
Your site needs a new home. Maybe the host is slow, expensive or closing down. You want everything to arrive intact, with forms working and no surprise downtime.
This is a good fit if
- You are moving one working website to new hosting
- You want content, forms and settings kept as they are
- You need the switch timed to avoid downtime
- You want redirects and links checked after the move
It is probably not the right fit if
- The site is broken now and needs fixing first
- You want a redesign at the same time
- You are moving a large store with custom integrations. Ask for a quote first
What you walk away with
- A full copy moved and tested before the switch
- DNS switched with a rollback plan
- Forms, links and key pages checked after launch
Scope, timing and what is included
When this is useful
This is useful when you need someone to coordinate a move, check important site functions and prepare a recoverable cutover. If your destination host’s migration service covers the move and the checks you need, a separate migration service may be unnecessary.
What you receive
Check backups and compatibility, rehearse the restore, test agreed URLs, forms and HTTPS, plan rollback, schedule cutover, and run scheduled checks during the agreed 24-hour post-cutover window.
The target works through the agreed checks, changed content is reconciled, and you have handover and rollback instructions.
What I need to begin
Current and target hosting, site size, access and a suitable cutover window.
Allow 3–7 business days, plus the agreed cutover window after the required access and inputs are ready. I’ll confirm fit and the start date before payment.
Scope and expectations
Store migrations, multisite, emergency recovery, redesign and email migration are separately quoted.
If the rehearsal cannot meet the agreed recovery window, I will pause the cutover and explain the options. Source retention and hosting costs are agreed before the move.
