Lingo

Compare translations, check the context, and choose what to keep.

← All selected work

The problem

Looking up the same phrase in several languages meant changing the target language and repeating the lookup.

The workflow

Choose up to eight languages, enter the English phrase once, and compare the results together. Listen to a result, inspect its source checks, and save the individual phrases you want in a private dictionary.

The design choice

Back-translation, dictionary entries, usage examples, and grammar checks answer different questions. They provide context before saving; a completed check doesn’t guarantee that a translation is correct or natural.

An independent experiment. Screenshots show the live interface on 7 October 2026. Voice availability and commercial status are not inferred from the older published account.

Screens and interaction states

One phrase produces three results with separate Listen, Sources and Save actions. Captured from the live app on 7 October 2026 using a harmless example phrase.

The source comparison keeps limitations visible: different wording, no dictionary entry, no examples and a possible punctuation issue. Completed checks are not a guarantee of accuracy.

What remains to test

The captures establish the current interface and example translation/source-check flow. They do not establish translation accuracy or user-study results. Private dictionary entries and voice playback were not part of this capture session.
